What if he doesn’t belong here?

He wants so badly to not be between,
but he is. He is torn apart,
half here and half there,
not able to be full.

He wants so badly to be brave.
But what if?
What if he doesn’t belong here?
‘Stay strong’ he reminds himself.
New place, new house… no home.

He wants so badly for his heart to be full,
Full of happiness,
It is scary to be so far away,
It kills him, It makes him alive.

He wants so badly, to just belong,
To one place,
To one person perhaps.
Belong where is no need to be afraid,
Where he could just be.

He wants,
He wants is so badly.
